With more than a decade of experience in design, development and helping businesses and non-profits with their marketing, Melinda Helt discovered that her clients were faced with two choices:
- Hire someone (an employee, an intern, a freelancer, an agency) to handle your website and marketing needs
- Navigate the process and do it yourself
Melinda felt something was missing.
Yes, there are MANY do-it-yourself tools, and many businesses and nonprofit organizations are successful in using those tools to build their own websites, create their own graphics and brochures, and run social media campaigns. But finding and learning all of those tools can take a lot of time away from actually running your business. Of course you could hire someone to do this for you. But that comes at a cost, and many business owners want to understand and be a part of the process.
That’s where Building WP Together comes in!
Melinda created a practical workshop to help you learn the basics of building a website.
Not only does Melinda provide detailed instructions on how to build your own website, but she does it in a classroom setting where you can ask questions and receive hands-on help. Sure, there are plenty of written and video tutorials online—many of them very good—but some people do better learning in-person.
